Whole Foods begins massive Boston expansion

Austin-based Whole Foods has announced that it will open six new stores in Boston by the end of 2013.

The six stores will average 31,000-square-feet and feature the full range of Whole Foods natural, organic, and sustainable food products.

The move comes on the heels of Whole Foods reporting third quarter growth of $116.8 million, $28.4 million more than the company posted in Q3 of 2011.
